After Democrats pointing their finger endlessly at Trump, it seems the attention may finally shift to Hillary but not in a good way.
U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has called for a closer look into the Uranium One deal that was largely orchestrated by Hillary during the Obama administration.
Prosecutors acting under orders from Sessions are asking FBI agents to explain the evidence they found in the investigation into the uranium deal linked to Bill and Hillary Clinton.
The interviews taking place between prosecutors and FBI agents are a part of the Justice Department's effort to make good on a promise by an assistant attorney general to Congress to examine whether a special counsel is warranted to look into the uranium deal which has been dubbed "Uranium One."
Since everyone in Washington is so concerned with ties between the Trump campaign and Russia perhaps they should be diverting their focus to the actual ties between the Clinton's and Russia.
The deal took place in 2010 when the Obama administration approved the sale of U.S. uranium mining facilities to Russia's state atomic energy company.
Hillary Clinton was the secretary of state at the time but she denies playing a role in the sale which is all the more reason to look into it. A 2015 New York Times article pointed out some obvious red flags, "As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation."
New York Times' Jo Becker and Mike Mcintire went on to point out more startling facts, "Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors."
"Other people with ties to the company made donations as well."
So it seems Mrs. Clinton DID, in fact, have a lot to do with Uranium One, but are we really surprised to catch Hillary in a lie anymore? It's like she is a pathological liar at this point who can more easily speak a falsehood than the truth.
Meanwhile, House Speaker Paul Ryan plans to bring a short-term government funding bill to the House floor Thursday to prevent a shutdown at the end of the week.
It seems 'shutting down the government' has become a popular scare tactic and negotiation tool among politicians these days.
