Border Patrol Agent Shot Near Cartel Hotspot in Texas on Mexico's Side of the Border

We have both breaking and heartbreaking news coming out of Brownsville, Texas, where the Federal Government has now confirmed that a United States Border Patrol Agent was shot while on patrol by a gunman who was located on Mexico's side of the border.

The agent who was hit by the gunman was engaged in his daily patrolling along the waters of the Rio Grande River, inside of a river boat, when he was fired upon by what's described as being a “small caliber” firearm by a criminal savage who was hiding somewhere along the Mexican side of the river banks, according to the United States Customs and Border Patrol (CBP).

The Border Patrol RGV Sector has yet to release the identity of the Border Patrol Agent, or the extent of the injuries he's suffering from; however, a United States Border Patrol RGV Sector spokesman has confirmed that the injuries are likely not life-threatening.

Border Patrol Spokesman Marcelino A. Medina said in the statement that the Border Patrol Agent was assigned to the Riverine Unit, which is a group of Agents that patrol the river on boats, according to KXAN.

“On Tuesday, December 26th of 2017, a Border Patrol Agent assigned to the Riverine Unit sustained a non-life threatening injury from a small caliber weapon resulting from an assault originating from the Mexican Riverbank,” Medina said in a statement. “The incident is currently under investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available.”

If there were any more reason for the United States Congress to fulfill the funding requirements for building the Border Wall proposed by President Trump, this only piles on to such logic.

The Brownsville area specifically is just north of a cartel hotbed known as Matamoros, Tamaulipas.

This region hosts several cities that are not only a birthplace and a stronghold for Mexico’s “Gulf Cartel”, one of the most dangerous illegal narcotics trafficking crime syndicates in Mexico, but also profits from smuggling federal criminal illegal aliens through both through Coyotaje aka Coyote, which is a human smuggling operation for hire, that imports illegal aliens into the United States of America through a carefully organized and secure operation; but also engages in more vile forms of human trafficking including children sold into child sex slavery and adults who are “property” of the cartels and ran as part of a prostitution ring through Texas into several states including Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, and many others.

This isn't the first time, and likely not the last, that a Rio Grande Patrol Agent has been struck by random gunfire whilst securing America's borders, with a similar incident happening in November of 2016 where gunfire came from the Mexican side of the border and hit two Americans, an Agent of the Texas Department of Public Safety and also struck a Border Patrol Agent.

Just last month a Border Patrol Agent in the Big Bend Sector, 36-year-old Rogelio Martinez was murdered at the hands of federal criminal illegal aliens who reportedly crushed his skull with stone boulders, beating him to death in one of the most savage and inhumane killings to date by illegal aliens on our Border Patrol Agents.

Many of these criminal gangs and cartels such as MS-13, for example, are so vicious and dangerous that earlier this winter The Goldwater broke a story that the mainstream media refused to cover, where MS-13 members inside of America stabbed an American citizen over 100 times, before decapitating the man, and removing his heart, then burying both his corpse, head, and heart in a shallow grave inside of Maryland.

Make no mistake the Trump Administration and the Department of Justice under Jeff Sessions have since declared war on the criminal cartels as well as MS-13 in particular.

There have been endless arrests and deportations all across the United States of America in this first year under President Trump.

It's becoming more prevalent for Sheriff's Offices and local law enforcement agencies in cooperation with the federal government to work together in removing large quantities of illegals.

Many states however such as California continue to refuse to cooperate with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, even signing into law ridiculous Sanctuary State legislation that violates federal immigration laws.

That has stopped acting ICE Director Tom Homan from saying that his agents will still deploy inside of California with or without the assistance from California's local law enforcement agencies.

In 2018, we anticipate those numbers to increase, in terms of dangerous, previously convicted, or cartel tied federal criminal illegal aliens being removed from America and prosecuted whenever possible.

After today's incident it yet again serves as a reminder that many of the plans for the use of custom technology as a first order of protection, via President Trump's Border Wall, including state-of-the-art cameras with night vision and thermal monitoring capabilities, could prevent many of America's Border Patrol Agents from being sitting ducks along the waters and mountainous terrain of varying parts of The United States of America's border with Mexico, and instead respond when they see signs of life.

We will update this story as necessary with any and all information that comes in regarding the agent's identity or his condition.

We need to build a wall.
