First responders in San Francisco say that at least seven people were injured when a truck crashed into pedestrians Monday afternoon.

A total of four ambulances responded to the first report of the crash around 3:30 p.m. at Geary Boulevard and 21st Avenue. Witnesses interviewed by local news ABC 7 say a white box truck was making an illegal left turn onto 21st Avenue from Geary when the driver seemed to over correct.

The white truck then struck a Mazda sedan with a family of five inside the vehicle. Fire officials say the family all suffered minor injuries with ages ranging from pre-teen to adult. An elderly pedestrian was struck and is in critical condition and another elderly pedestrian suffered serious injuries.

San Francisco police say the driver ran a red light at the intersection of 21st and Geary and lost control of the truck. The large white box truck then struck two pedestrians, a parked car, and finally the Mazda sedan with the family inside. The passengers of the Mazda are going to be okay but the pedestrians have serious injuries.
