Diana's Weekend: Wonders Of Ilocos Philippines

If you haven't traveled in the Philippines yet and wanting to think of going, do not hesitate. The Philippines has a lot of things to offer especially in tourism. After arriving at the airport you will see the huge slogan of Philippine tourism It's More Fun In The Philippines . I should say its more fun indeed.

I should give you guys a peek at what to expect in the Philippines or some may say "hidden treasures", but since, I guess, everyone is a social media addict I think these treasures are not hidden anymore. I recently went on a family vacation and went to the northern part of the country. Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur which is used to be a single province. Inhabitants are called Ilocanos and they speak the language Iloko, also called Ilocano. I'm hearing so much about these places and the first word I hear from people is "FAR" but "AMAZING". Well, there are two options to get to Ilocos either by land or plane.

The province is divided into two parts, we first went to Ilocos Norte which is the edge of the Philippines, crossing the sea you will get to Batanes Group of Islands then the next to it is Taiwan. The wind is super strong and so that's why I thought they have a Wind Mill Farm, to generate electricity that gives power through the province.

Since Ilocos is on the edge of the country and Philippines is a tropical country you will expect that there are beaches and resorts, nice white sand beaches actually. During this time the wind is super strong and the tides are huge it's a little bit scary to swim, but for the people who surf, this is perfect.

One Huge Resort in the area Hanna's Beach Resort offers Zipline, ATV Ride, and Jetskis.

We choose to experience the Zipline which is the longest 'over the water ' Zipline in the country. Well it's indeed amazing it's like flying, but kind of terrifying coz the wind is super strong and you will see a deep blue sea underneath.

Meet my crazy family on this fun Holiday trip. Also, you will see a super white male from England. He found a home in our family "its ok to be white " around brown people.

On the third day of the trip, we don't have much anything to do and we've decided to head down and we passed by in the Dessert, yes there's a dessert in the Philippines located in Paoay Ilocos Norte. If you're looking for extreme activities the 4x4 ride is perfect for you. Also, Ilocos offers Sky Diving activity too, but I'm not yet super brave to try it.
