An FBI agent was injured while trying to arrest a suspect during a shooting incident in Sandy Springs specifically on the 6000 block of Powers Ferry Road, just outside the Wyndham Hotel. Officials have confirmed the wounding of the agent.

FBI Atlanta Public Affairs Specialist Kevin Rowson said the incident involved one of their agents and a suspect they were trying to arrest at that time. The agent was injured but Rowson gave the assurances that the wounds sustained by one of their men are not life-threatening. Rowson added: “He was not shot.” He said their agent will be okay.

Rowson also shared that the suspect was taken to the hospital.

Incomplete reporting. How do I know where this happened ? Oh ya Sandy springs that's right, where ever the hell that is at. How about adding the location exactly.

ok LOCAL-Atlanta WS radio reports :

FBI shot and wounded the Thug whom they were there to arrest for Interstate Gang Activities.

The arrested Gang Member ran out of the hotel lobby, jumped in to a vehicle.

In the process ended up dragging the now injuried FBI Agent 1/4 mile before being stopped.

I did not catch at what point the Thug was shot, but the Thug was allowed to live. The Agent and the Thug were both transpoted to the Hospital.
