Dead Baby Discovered in Greenfield, South Carolina Gas Station

A dead baby was found at a gas station in Greenville, South Carolina. The infant was already unresponsive when the authorities arrived. Greenville police have arrested two women related to the incident.

Police say they believe the baby was already dead before arriving at the Prime Stop on Wesley Avenue in Greenville. The authorities went to the back part of the parking lot to check when they arrived on the scene.

The investigation led police to a home just three-and-a-half miles away. The police officers came ready and executed a search warrant at the said home.

The police arrested two women on charges of tampering with evidence as the authorities believe the women moved the dead infant to the gas station where it was discovered.

People inside the gas station told the local media that they saw the two women come inside the store and asked for a lot of napkins and then simply left. The workers at the station also shared to the local media that the women appeared “normal.”

The establishment provided the authorities with the surveillance video taken from the gas station on Monday.

The identities of the women have yet to be released by the police. It is also not clear if they are related to the baby.

The authorities have also yet to share the cause of the baby’s death, or if an autopsy would still be conducted on the infant.
