The woman convicted of contributing to the death of a Georgia woman in 2012 after receiving silicone butt injections has died in prison. Authorities confirmed the death of Mississippi inmate Tracy Lynn Garner, 58.
Authorities also said Garner died on Sunday, less than three and a half years into her life sentence. The Mississippi Department of Corrections said in a released statement that Garner was brought from the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Garner’s victim, Katrina Gordon, died eight days after receiving silicone butt injections from her in Jackson, Mississippi in 2012. Garner was convicted in 2014 of depraved heart murder of then 37-year-old Gordon. Authorities say Gordon died of a blood clot in her lung in Atlanta, just a week after the procedure was done to her.
Garner was also convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Gordon was referred to Garner by adult entertainer Natasha Stewart who went by the screen name “Pebbles.” Stewart was later convicted of manslaughter in Gordon’s death and sentenced to seven years in prison.. Gordon previously served in the military.
Garner was born a male as Morris Garner. Garner had sex reassignment surgery.
The cause of Garner’s death is still unknown. An autopsy will be performed.
