Spice Girls Confirm Reunion

They will tell you what they want, what they really really want. Yes, the Spice Girls, the female supergroup from the 90s is getting back together.

The UK’s press reports that some of the girls desperately need a cash injection and with the knowledge that they could sell out any stadium worldwide easily to 30 and 40-somethings willing to relive some moments of glory from their youth, the five released a statement yesterday: "We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for The Spice Girls.

"The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together."

The five members: Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel Brown and Melanie Chisholm posed for some pictures and claimed that more news would soon follow.

"We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together.

"We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of The Spice Girls while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations."

Rumour has it that Victoria Beckham, who gathered an estimated fortune of more than $500 million with husband David during her career so probably doesn't need the money the tour will generate, wanted a clause put into the contract that she would not be required to sing.

Furthermore, Mel B, who's just been through an expensive divorce, is in dire need of money and will be pushing for a global tour.

Be that as it may, and with all details still needing to be worked out, the internet fired up after the news, with many fans super excited to go and see the girls again.
