Dreamers or Killers? Manhunt Underway for DACA Recipient Charged with Murder in Texas

There's appalling news coming out of Texas, that one of Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients are responsible for the murder of an American citizen, according to law enforcement.

Houston Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation alongside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) division are now engaged in a statewide manhunt to locate 21-year-old Judas Deluna, who police say shot and killed a man outside of DJ's Food Mart on 13203 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas back on January 26th of 2018.

Investigators in the case say that Deluna was involved in a fist-fight with a man in the parking lot of the business, when 30-year-old Rahman Rupani, son of the business owner, came outside of the business to try and break up the fight.

That's when Detectives say that Deluna grabbed a gun from his vehicle, and opened fire on Rupani, striking him in the chest, as well as firing on the man he had earlier been involved in a brawl with, according to ABC 13.

Rupani later died from his injuries, leaving behind a wife and two young children, all of whom are surely heartbroken by the terrifying incident losing both a father and a husband.

Witnesses also reported that Deluna fled the scene of the dual shootings inside of a Black Lincoln Navigator SUV.

An investigation into Deluna's past revealed that Judas was not only a recipient of THE Obama program known Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), but that court records from the Harris County District Clerk Chris Daniel's Office show that Deluna also has a prior felony conviction for a Terroristic Threat charge, dating back to 2015.

In that case, Deluna was sentenced to 60 days in the Harris County Jail by a 176th Criminal District Court Judge.

Harris has also been charged with both Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, which was later dismissed as per a plea arrangement with the courts.

In the same year, Deluna was again arrested on a felony charge of Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle, and would be sentenced to four months of probation for those crimes with deferred adjudication.

So we have a man who was originally a federal criminal the moment he entered America illegally, granted protection by the Obama Administration's DACA program, convicted of multiple felonies and charged with prior misdemeanors, who has now murdered an American business owner.

As a result of the new first-degree murder charge that Deluna is being sought for, Prosecutors with the Harris County District Attorney's office have now asked to adjudicate the previous charges due to the crimes committed violating the conditions of Deluna's sentencing.

Breitbart Texas reports that Deluna isn't your run-of-the-mill criminal, and that he comes from a family connected to both a drug cartel and having a history of crime.

ABC's Jessica Willey is responsible for this brilliant investigative journalism that uncovered the history of both the DACA program as well as the cartel findings, and she deserves special mention for such.

Willey discovered that Manuel Deluna, the father of Judas, is also an illegal alien. He's currently awaiting his own deportation hearings and has a history of being a "violent" felon.

Judas' older brother Eric Deluna has numerous convictions himself. In 2005 he was convicted of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and again in 2011 a new case of Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon.

According to Willey, Eric Deluna was behind the plotting to ambush a Los Zetas Cartel drug shipment, in which he had hoped to steal from the cartel to acquire wealth and power.

To his dismay, that shipment was actually part of an undercover federal sting which quickly turned into a gun battle between the members and federal agents. At least one federal informant was killed during that operation, Willey reported.

In addition to the death of the man who had assisted federal law enforcement agents, a Harris County Sheriff's Deputy was shot and wounded in the gunfight. Eric Deluna's participation in that crime would later bring him a thirty year federal prison sentence.

These facts matter because they underscore the criminal lifestyle that Deluna and his family are part of, all while still receiving protections from the Obama Administration's failed DACA program.

Now, authorities are desperately seeking out Judas Deluna on a murder warrant, and they warn he's to be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

If you have any information that could lead law enforcement to the arrest or location of Judas Deluna you're asked to contact Crime Stoppers where a cash reward is being offered for tips at 713.222.TIPS (8477), or pickup your phone and call emergency 911.

This is but one of many examples of the dangers posed by many who would abuse the system and endanger the lives of American citizens and their families.
