Authorities in Presidio managed to get a big drug bust over the weekend. A release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Presidio Border Patrol agents indicates that they spotted two suspicious vehicles traveling toward Presidio on FM 170.
The agents stopped the vehicle with the assistance from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Game Wardens, on Saturday. The report indicates that a consensual search revealed that both vehicles were loaded with marijuana bundles.
The authorities found two women and one man, all from the Houston area, they were then arrested by Border Patrol agents and later turned over to Homeland Security Investigations Presidio Office.
The suspects have been charged with one count of aiding and abetting possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Unfortunately, if they are convicted, the prison term extends from five to forty years in jail. Authorities are yet to release the names of the suspects.
