Is David Bowie a prophet? That's what some anon at 8chan are saying in light of the Parkland, Florida shooting at Marjory Douglas High School. It may be only conjecture, but the David Bowie song "Valentine's Day" described a troubled school shooter. The British tabloid Mirror has been the only outlet outside of halfchan and infinitechan to even entertain such conspiratorial rumblings. It certainly wouldn't be the first time David Bowie had been <a href=http://www.nme.com/blogs/nme-blogs/five-times-david-bowie-predicted-the-future-763412">accused of predicting the future</a>, however. Anon has also noted that this occurs just days after Elon Musk rocketed Starman (named after the David Bowie song) into space in a Tesla. A Tesla playing the <a href="https://www.joe.ie/news/car-blaring-david-bowies-space-oddity-shot-space-today-615228">Bowie classic "Space Oddity,"</a> no less.

This isn't the first massacre on a Valentine's Day. In fact, not even the first school shooting to take place on February 14, but Bowie did release a song that was, at the time and now, considered to be an obvious reference to gun violence and, specifically, school shootings. It's pointed out that Bowie even <a href="https://www.wnyc.org/story/307257-david-bowies-hidden-agenda/">brandishes his guitar as if it were an assault weapon</a> of some sort in the promotional video.

Hidden messages were nothing new in Bowie and in fact, his last album was, according to longtime producer Tony Visconti <a href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/music/news/david-bowies-blackstar-album-contains-secret-hidden-message/">meant to be a "parting gift" to fans rife with hidden messages</a>, overt and more subtle. If you're familiar with Bowie lore, then you'll know that David went through an occultic phase around the same time he was "flirting with fascism." Speaking of flirting with fascism, much was made at the time of his death that his final album was entitled "Black Star." Some felt that <a href="http://www.trebuchet-magazine.com/osiris-is-a-black-star/">"Black Star"</a> was a reference to Nigri Solis, the black sun, or Hakensonne, which is tied into both the occult and <a href="http://blacksun-sole-nero.net/esoteric-hitlerist-interview-with-miguel-serrano-national-socialism-blacksun/">esoteric Hitlerism.</a>
