ISIS 'Beatles' - US and UK Governments Decide

US and UK government officials are said to be in talks about what to do with two men from west London who were detained in Syria last month on suspicion of terrorist activity, known as the ISIS ‘Beatles’. The captured duo, Alexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh (the remaining two of a terrorist cell of four) should go on trial in the UK, according to Home Secretary Ms. Amber Rudd.

The two are members of an Islamic State cell that killed Western hostages together with the infamous ‘Jihadi John’, also a supposed UK terrorist.

It was understood that the pair has by now been stripped of their UK citizenship and can therefore also be claimed by the US as ‘international terrorists’.

The US government is anxious to transfer the two to their famous ‘GITMO’ (Guantanamo) base in Cuba.

Ms. Rudd, however, claimed: "We're absolutely committed to making sure that they are tried.”

"These people should face the full force of the law. I can't be drawn at the moment into…where that will take place. But I am certain, because we'll be working with the Americans to ensure this, that they will face justice."

The UK’s Defence Minister, Mr. Tobias Ellwood, told the UK press it was important that "terrorists from any origin are transparently and fairly held accountable for their actions".
