Video - Antifa And Italian Police Duke It Out As Populists Stand To Get Elected

Some major clashes erupted between Italian police and Antifa during the night as the far-left organized protests all over the country.

The communists and socialist youth movements in Italy are trying to change voters’ minds one week before the elections which Europe fears.

Italy looks set to become the first major nation in the 28-member bloc where a populist government stands to take power. Italy is the 4th largest economy in the Eurozone after Germany, France and Spain (the UK does not use the Euro and is therefore not technically part of the Eurozone).

Though the far-left managed to organize large rallies both in Milan and Rome, the major cities that traditionally vote left, many fear that it will be too little too late as election polls have been remaining steady since Christmas of 2017.

The center-right party of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who has formed a coalition with the Lega Nord and the Fuorza Nova parties (both of whom have nationalist-populist tendencies) are bound to take some 35% of the vote.

Second in line will be the 5-star movement of Mr. Beppe Grillo, who wants Italy out of the EU and a return to the Italian Lira instead of remaining with the Euro (some in his party have vowed to devaluate the currency afterward so foreign goods would become cheaper for Italians)

The center-left of current prime minister Gentiloni stands to lose and become third and the communists and socialist youth movements will finish last.
