The jury selection for the case of Ms Noor Salman, the widow of the Pulse nightclub shooter who killed 49 people in Orlando, is almost over.
As Ms Salman faces charges of aiding a foreign terrorist organization resulting in death and obstruction of justice, a lot has already been written about the jury selection and whether it will be a fair trial as many Americans seem to have already made their mind up about her.
Ms Christine Leinonen, whose son was killed in the mass shooting, attended all seven days of jury selection so far: "It was only after the judge went in that I realized that I had been looking face to face with the killer's wife. It was hard."
"I will live with whatever the verdict is. I will live with it, because you have to live with it."
Finding suitable jurors seemed particularly hard as most knew all details given the size of the case and the notoriety of shooter Mr Omar Mateen and his wife Ms Noor Salman.

An unnamed Air Force veteran who was considered for the trial gave the following answer to the defence lawyer: “I would view her as a terrorist,” he said, “I question why she’s being tried in civilian court versus a military tribunal.”
The man, whose had worked in counter-terrorism since 2001 and could thus be considered an expert, was excused for duty.
What some found particularly strange is that people were asked what they thought of Islam as a religion and Muslims as people in general by the defence attorney.

Another man, who was also excused, said he had certain beliefs about Muslims based on his friends’ military experiences overseas.
He told the judge how a friend of his had served in Iraq and another in Afghanistan.
From them, he had heard stories which led him to believe Muslim women are submissive to their husbands. He states that, should he be selected, he would try to set aside his friends’ stories but also said there would have to be something convincing to change his belief.
