Breaking - Mass Casualty Car Crash In Montgomery County, Maryland

A crash involving some 20 or more vehicles in Montgomery country has been ruled a ‘mass casualty incident’. According to local media multiple people have been hospitalized, several severely injured. So far some two dozen people had to have medical checks.

The fire department of Montgomery County claims that medical crews are working non-stop to help the many wounded.

Although state troopers are still investigating, the current reporting has it that around 5:20 a.m. Monday, the Rockville Barrack of the Maryland State Police picked up a call for the apparent multi-car collision Southbound of I-270 at Middle Brook Road.

Some reports state that a truck carrying rocks and gravel, lost its load, causing many to crash.

At this time, all southbound lanes on I-270 at Middle Brook Road are all closed. At this time, all lanes on southbound I-270 at Middle Brook Road were closed around 5:30a.m.Traffic is being detoured onto Route 355.
