The mainstream media is slowly switching its focus from Trump to QAnon apparently, or to use the (famously misattributed) quote by Mahatma Gandhi “first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
If you would interpret that quote as a four-step process, then the fact that Mr. Jordan Klepper on his show The Opposition has just done a segment making fun of QAnon believers could be understood as moving on from step one to step two.

Although most people ignored the QAnon quotes in the beginning, it is clear that the mainstream media will be full of references to ‘the storm’ and ‘Q’ soon in a very mocking way.
Whereas no one on CNN, NBC, CBS or ABC will dare to refer back to the New York Times election prediction of 92% certainty for Ms. Clinton to win the presidential election (which featured on their homepage for about a month long) or the Mr Paul Krugman quote that the stock market would drop by 50% after Trump’s win, they are slowly coming to realize that a new breed of media has come to life on their watch.

Websites like theGoldwater.com, the Gateway Pundit and the Daily caller present people with an alternative, conservative view of the day’s top stories, properly sourced and yes, sometimes referring to popular conspiracy theories, as many believe in them, and we are not the people to say who is right and who is wrong.
As author Mr. Kurt Andersen plugging his book ‘Fantasyland’ admits in the segment, conspiracy theories are what US culture is built on.
We here at thegoldwater.com are not about to judge whether every JFK, 9/11 or Las Vegas shooting conspiracy theory is right or wrong, but to simply judge everyone who believes in them as ‘crackpots’ as the MSM will do, it not our style.
As I’ve said in my segment on the MSM late night show hosts a while ago (see our related coverage): if you are constantly insulting half your audience, then don’t be surprised that audience will walk away soon.

We will admit that most Q quotes can be read in various ways, but that seems quite accurate to us.
