Dubai - Russian Model Flees US Businessman, Breaks Spine (Video)

A 22-year-old Russian model has broken her spine after jumping from the sixth floor of a Dubai luxury hotel. According to her version, she was trying to flee a man who tried to rape and kill her. Rumor has it is concerns a US businessman.

Friends of Miss Ekaterina Stetsyuk, who hails from Irkutsk, Siberia, claims that she is “surviving by a miracle” even though the girl is unable to move or walk.

The Russian Consul in Dubai, Mr Gocha Buachidze stated: “We are thoroughly studying the situation around Russian citizen Ekaterina Stetsyuk and we are providing all necessary support to her. The investigation is in progress. The Consulate cannot give any more details of the accident due to the request of the citizen herself.”

A friend of Ekaterina, Miss Irina Grossman claimed that “to save her life and dignity, she jumped from the sixth floor. Her spine is broken, several vertebrae were crushed. She cannot walk or move by herself, but doctors are giving a good prognosis because her spinal cord is intact.”

The businessman accused of attacking her was arrested at the Dubai international airport as he tried to flee the country. If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in jail.

Although the identity of the man has not been revealed, Russian channel NTV stated that Ekaterina was followed by a rich “foreigner” and “refused to be with him. He got angry and attacked Ekaterina, trying to kill her.”
