Snapchat Burns Facebook With Hilarious Russian Bot Filter

My own generation probably has to think for a few seconds about the why but it would appear that for the younger ones, nothing says ‘you’re outdated’ like Snapchat making fun of you, and for that reason the Snapchat ‘Facebook Russian Bot Filter’ won best April fools joke as voted by internet users yesterday evening.

Throwing some “nuclear shade,” the joke literally torches all recent ails that haven befallen Mr Zuckerberg’s social network, including Russia, the possible proliferation of bots, and even reports of low usage (see our related coverage).

Most users also felt that the “your mom” liking it joke in there was hilarious.

Snap, Inc. CEO Mr Evan Spiegel and Facebook CEO Mr Mark Zuckerberg have a long feud apparently. During a Snapchat conference call, Mr Spiegel recently compared Facebook to Yahoo! which in the tech world is like saying you’re no longer relevant.

Facebook from its side has copied a large array of Snapchat features (such as photo filters and the disappearing videos known as Stories).
