An official trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story released Sunday evening and aired with American Idol. The trailer starts out being narrated by Emilia Clarke's character Qi'ra and goes to give plenty examples of each of the main characters in action. This gives us our first real chance to hear the characters speak and gives the impression the film will play out like a heist movie and don't worry, there's no shortage of scenes with everyone's favorite Wookie.

While the main character Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich, comes off as a little awkward, he still manages to create an endearing comedic duo with his Wookie friend Chewbacca who we find out is actually 190-years-old. One of the best parts of the trailer is seeing Donald Glover's impression of Billy Dee Williams' Lando Calrissian which is spot on.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Ehrenreich but did anybody really expect the young actor to fill the footsteps of Harrison Ford. Ehrenreich's performance seems more like a cameo or a role with a quick appearance but just doesn't quite feel like the main character. It is almost safe to say that Ehrenreich's best moments are when he is interacting with his Wookie pal Chewbacca which the trailer makes very clear there will be plenty of humor between them.

The official trailer shows that Disney is keeping the comedic element of Star Wars alive and at least in Solo it feels more organic and natural instead of forced like the Last Jedi. The film is also going to have a tough time competing with Avengers: Infinity War but at least the two powerhouse franchises are separated by a span of a few weeks.
