Indiana - Video Of Religious Fights At Sikh Temple Which Left Many Injured

As we here at thegoldwater.com reported last night already, Sunday saw a mass brawl in Greenwood, Indiana when police were called to respond to several stabbings as a leadership fight broke out in a Sikh Temple.

"Police say there was daggers, sharp objects and pepper spray involved in the fight which took place following elections at the temple between the two sides transitioning power."

Always the same nonsense happening over control of the Gurughar. According to one of the temple members, Mr Gurpreet Sing, no weapons were involved (even though police reported cuts of swords) and that to his personal knowledge most injuries reported after the fight were simply just "bruises and minor cuts."

It would appear the brawl started over the election of a new executive committee at the temple. For years on end, there had already been clashes over how the temple should be run and several factions had formed.

On Sunday those differences erupted into a mass brawl when the Sikh leadership said after the religious services that the money that was donated to the afternoon service should now be handed to the newly elected committee, much to the discontent of the group that had relinquished power.

I’m at the Gurdwawa temple in Greenwood. Looks like most fire and police responders have already left the scene. Police said 150 people were involved in a “brawl” which led to 3-4 people receiving minor injuries. At this point some members started to threaten the president of the new committee and tried to drag him out of the building.

"It was chaos," Mr Sing declared "It reached a whole new level."
