Kansas GOP Kris Kobach: Students Should Study the Second Amendment Instead of Walking Out

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach - along with most Americans - is beyond fed up with the high school students who think they can control how law-abiding Americans choose to enact their Constitutional rights - especially the Second Amendment.

After the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, a trio of attention seeking high schoolers, led by David Hogg, have taken to the airwaves of the mainstream media to tell other Americans how they should be able to live their lives.

With planned school walkouts to protest the Constitutional right to bear arms and attacks on the Second Amendment occurring all across the United States of America, it's undoubtedly frustrating millions of Americans to listen to the endless attempt to seize their firearms.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach believes these children need to learn their history, and why the Second Amendment is so vital to Americans.

“These 16-year-olds don’t speak for me and they sure as heck don’t speak for the people of Kansas,” Kobach said. “I have an idea. Instead of walking out of class, why don’t you stay in class and spend that half hour studying the history of the 2nd Amendment? You might learn something.”

Kobach is right, and the efforts from the Democratic Party and their puppet students to delegitimize the importance of the Second Amendment isn't going to change the minds of anyone who has the desire to protect their family.

As per the endless attempts from major social media platforms including YouTube to remove any gun-related content, Kobach released a statement directly blasting the company for their censorship.

The Left and the pawns that they use that they find in the schools to kind of say their message for them, they are attacking not only our gun statutes and our gun rights, they’re attacking our gun culture. They’re trying to create an America where guns are not cool anymore… or not acceptable anymore. That’s what they’re trying to do.

YouTube said they are not going to allow any more videos that are instructional or demonstratable in the use of firearms. That’s outrageous. YouTube is the virtual public space square today. It’s kind of like this square right here except you have many more people there all over the country, across the globe. And they’re saying ‘If you want to talk about instruction or demonstration of firearms, you’re not welcome in the public square.’ That is an attack on the gun culture. That’s an attack on the idea that it’s okay for a normal, reasonable people to appreciate the right to keep and bear arms. We’re not going to stand for it.

Kobach also emphasized that if a teacher or staff member had been carrying a firearm on the day of the Parkland shooting atrocity, then maybe seventeen people wouldn't have lost their lives.

“There was one courageous individual, a coach, an assistant coach, a football coach named Aaron Fies who didn’t have a gun, but what he did is use his own body to try to stop the shooter and try to protect others,” Kobach said. “He ended up dying, tragically. If Coach Fies had a gun, he could have stopped the killer, he could have ensured that many other peoples lives were safe. That’s what should have happened in Parkland.”

Countless Americans turned up for the Kansas Second Amendment rally, and none of those brave Americans will ever give up their firearms unless they're pried from their cold, dead hands. That much is certain.

“We defend our president with guns, we defend our courtrooms with guns, we defend our banks with guns, we defend our celebrities in Hollywood with guns, but we defend our children with a sign that reads ‘This is a gun-free zone,'” Kobach said. “How well is that working?”

We the people have the Second Amendment, a Constitutional right to bear arms that shall not be infringed upon.
