George H.W. Bush Can’t Let Go Of Barbara Just Yet

A touching picture showing former US President George H.W. Bush sitting in a wheelchair lovingly gazing at the casket of his late wife has captured the hearts of all those in Texas as it became known that Mr Bush senior held Barbara’s hand all day before she passed away. A family statement revealed ‘he is broken-hearted.’

George H.W. Bush and Barbara had been married for 73 years.

Yesterday, as mourners came forward to pay their respects, the 93-year-old former president sat the whole day in his wheelchair next to Barbara Bush’s closed casket which was setup at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Houston, Texas. Just one day before her invitation-only funeral.

The Bushes daughter, Dorothy, can be seen comforting her father as she lovingly put her hand on his shoulder.

Today will see the official funeral for some 1,500 guests. Among those confirmed in attendance at the event are former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, current first lady Melania Trump, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former first lady Michelle Obama.

Mr Craig Denekas, who sits on the board of directors of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy (one of Ms Bush most praised foundations), said: “It was her singular ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the world when you were talking to her.”
