||| Police Network | Twitter | @Infobae |||

The unrest in the central American nation of Nicaragua has by now claimed the lives of 11 people (although human rights watch groups put the death toll at 25 already), one of whom was a journalist killed by a sniper during a live broadcast.

Nicaraguan journalist Angel Eduardo Gahona spent the last four minutes of his life covering youth protest and incoming riot police in the city of Bluefields. He was streaming his broadcast when he was shot and killed. The video is quite gruesome.

Mr Gahona was telling about the damage that rioters and protesters had caused to a local bank when he is shot in the head from a distance and falls to the ground.

Pope Francis, himself a South American, has called upon all parties to stop the bloodshed and for differences to "be resolved peacefully and with a sense of responsibility."

Mr Ortega, who has been in power since 2007, says his government is prepared to hold talks about the measures but the protest organisers claim that the police violence which is widespread in the country needs to stop first.

Since the election of 2016, Mr Ortega and his family (his wife is the Vice-President) have been accused by the US of vote-rigging. They were joined in their criticism by independent election observers from the EU.

You have groups like this covering their face to prove they are COWARDS and do not want people to know who they are and what they stand for. ENOUGH of all these hate groups and demanding things totally out of the scope of peace and what AMERICA was built on.

You cannot bring 3rd world primates into a developed civil country and hope they assimilate to the strange new culture. When people are used to living in grass or mud huts and you put them into a developed city with the rule of law (court system) they cannot forget their prior way of life overnight.

I grew up with the mong refugees coming over. These are people that lived in the jungles, never had running water or electricity and came here and filled their basements with water and raised carp or left it dry and raised farm animals, grew crops on the floor of their living rooms and basically trashed anyplace they were allowed to reside. At lease the youngest generations of mong are starting to assimilate but its 30 years in the making. Now we are importing violent terrorists or should I say democrats form desert countries.
