The US press may have trouble landing First Lady Melania Trump a lot of magazine covers (as James Woods rightfully pointed out), but FLOTUS gave her statement answer appearing yesterday as a Hollywood movie star on the steps of the White House adorned in a large white hat on the second day of the French Presidential visit.
No words, simply a fashionable picture that every newspaper couldn’t resist.

Mr. James Woods had stated earlier this month that “If the Trumps were Democrats, Melania would be on every cover of every chic women’s magazine in the world every month.”
He can rest assured that there was only one star covering all the newspaper front pages today in Europe, and that is indeed the US’s First Lady.
People in France, Spain, Germany and the UK have much less of an issue with Mr. Trump’s politics as it doesn’t really affect them directly so Melania is truly adored in the pages of magazine and newspaper spreads over here.

France’s best-sold magazine Paris Match regularly does a Melania special where her impeccable style is looked upon and people are informed where they can buy the items she wears. Also, the fact that she gets on really well with France’s first lady Brigitte Macron is hailed.
Over in Germany’s biggest selling newspaper Bild, the picture is no different. Melania will regularly feature in spreads and certainly now that she is hosting the Macrons for a state dinner even more so.

The number of newspapers in Europe today that feature Melania on their front page is far and wide. From Germany to France over to the UK, everyone shows the US first lady, with the UK’s Daily Express making it quite clear when they adorned a picture of the US and French first ladies with the title ‘meet the first ladies of fashion’.

Melania Trump’s support for French and American designers is duly noted over here, and just like the UK’s Kate Middleton when it comes to selling designer clothing, the European press at least, is starting to treat her like royalty.
