A secondary school in Mizhi County has been attacked by a knife-wielding man. so far, authorities reported that at least seven students were killed, all apparently aged between 12 and 15.
A suspect has been arrested and a picture of his arrest was already spreading on social media.

Other photos are showing several young students lying on the floor in puddles of blood, surrounded by shocked onlookers. According to the local government, the events took place at Mizhi County.
"At 18:10 local time on April 27, a suspect attacked students leaving the No. 3 middle school in Mizhi County in Shaanxi province, hurting 19 students, with 7 of them dead from the injuries.”

This is not the first fatal knife attack to take place in China recently. Just in February, a knifeman killed a woman and injured 12 others in a Beijing shopping centre.
