Leave it to only a handful of shootings to lead to the demonizing of a simple mechanical tool. The image of a gun has become so demonized that even a cartoon likeness is too offensive to show. Now, all major platforms have replaced the cartoon emoji of a gun with a water pistol.

It is easy to forget that firearms play an important role in our country, not just as a tool of war but as a tool of protection that thousands of people use to save themselves from harm each year.

Emojipedia reported the move was part of a commitment among vendors to redesign the weapon in an effort to create continuity across all platforms. I find this hard to believe since the new water pistol emojis that have replaced the gun emoji vary more widely than its predecessor. Apple was the first to make the change in 2016 but did not comment on why the change was made. The change was soon followed by iOS, Twitter, Samsung, and WhatsApp.
Microsoft commented on Twitter about their reasoning behind the change saying the switch to a water pistol emoji was to better "reflect the company's values and the feedback it had received."

A renewed demand for stricter gun control followed the shooting death of 17 Parkland High School students earlier this year. The war on guns is a war on the American constitution and companies pandering to identity politics and social justice warriors is an affront to what makes this nation great. The firearms should be a respected image and not one that is shamed or demonized.

Normal People, it is clear the Liberals have way too much dictatorial control over our electronic media. Plus we are fools to quietly allow them, due to the usual threats of PC Censorship.
This article had to come from the liberals. It sucks big time. I guess that's the reason that liberals wanted this. Well I have guns and I carry 24/7 too. I dare anybody to try to take me guns , because that won't be a healthy choice either
