Pamela Gidley Of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Dies

David Lynch recently developed a continuation of Twin Peaks, the acclaimed, surreal television drama from the early 1990s. Just before it was ready to debut cast member Margaret Lanterman who played "The Log Lady" died. The Twin Peaks revamp ended after a single season, but far more unfortunate a second cast member has passed. Pamela Gidley was not in the original television series, but starred in the prequel film Fire Walk With Me released in 1992. Fire Walk With Me also featured musicians Chris Isaak and David Bowie among other alumnus from the original series.

Gidley's death was initially announced on Sunday in an obituary and is just now being reported in the LA Times and other sources. According to the obituary Pamela Gidley "died peacefully in her home, on Monday, April 16, 2018 in Seabrook." The cause of death has not yet been reported.

Pamela Gidley was born in Metheun, Massachusetts and was a former child model. One of her first big breaks was the film Thrashin' in which she starred alongside Josh Brolin and Sherilyn Fenn. Fenn is well known for her role as the character Audrey in the Twin Peaks TV series.

As an adult, Gidley was also a model as well as doing some acting in New York City before moving to LA to pursue a film career. In addition to Fire Walk With Me and Thrashin', Gidley appeared in the sci-fi film Cherry 2000. She made appearances in television series' like MacGyver, The Pretender, Tour of Duty, CSI and the Closer as well as headlining feature films. The service will be private at the family's request.
