Police in Williston, in north-western North Dakota, received a call from airport control this week saying that there was a drunk and disrupting occupant on a flight from Denver to North Dakota.
Great was their surprise upon arrival when they learned the person in question was a female flight attendant.

According to passengers, she told them in an onboard announcement: “If your seatbelt isn’t tight, you f—– up.”

Ms Erika Gorman, a passenger on the flight, tweeted: "Drunk and disorderly - belligerent flight attendant. Boarding announcements were ‘if your seatbelt isn’t tight, you F—-d up. I went to the cockpit and talked to the captain and police were waiting when we landed."

Not needing the extra attention to an already spotty record of passenger handling as of later, United Airlines quickly decided to refund all the passengers their airfare over this latest scandal as ‘a gesture of goodwill’.

The flight in question was operated by Trans States Airlines, a regional service provider for United Airlines on some short hauls.
United sent out a statement afterwards: "We are aware of a concerning incident involving a flight attendant serving on our regional service provider Trans States Airlines flight 4689. As a gesture of goodwill, we have compensated all customers aboard the flight and we apologize for any inconvenience or distress this may have caused.
"The safety of our customers and crew aboard all United and Trans States flights is a top priority."
