Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdoagn is left with so little opposition that he started referring to himself in the plural form. During a televised speech yesterday he stated that his foes “have just one care, to destroy Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. If, one day, our nation says ‘enough’, then we will move to the side.”

Predicting victory for himself and his AKP party in the upcoming election, the Turkish President added: "God willing, I believe we will, together with our nation, on June 24 once again give a well-deserved lesson to this team of destruction."

Mr Erdogan has called for new elections to be held in June, which would lengthen his already 15 years in power even further.

His AKP party is highly favored to win, but most of his political opponents are either in jail or have no media outlets to support them.

The millennial generation of Turks, knowing full well what the rest of the world thinks of the Turkish leader, reacted swiftly and within a few hours the hashtag #TAMAM, the Turkish word for ‘Enough’ was trending on Twitter and other social media sites.
