Jordan Belfort, the by now larger than life stockbroker portrayed in the immediate classic ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ is facing fresh court calls as a federal judge claims he will need to testify about his current income, given that Mr. Belfort still owes some $97 million in unpaid restitution.
Brooklyn federal Judge Ann Donnelly stated: “I do want to figure out a way to make a bigger dent in what he owes.”
“It’s not a particularly attractive picture, him taking all this money and claiming he needs it to support his family.”

Judges at the time ordered Mr. Belfort to pay back some $110 million of that money, but according to recent court records, he has made considerable amounts from speeches and book sales between 2013 and 2015 of which he kept some $9 million.

Ms. Donnelly: “It seems like he has some spare change lying around.”
“He’s going to have to come here so we can get a grip on what’s going on.”
