The UK is still looking for a trade deal with the US as their Brexit negotiations with the EU are nearing their end, and thus the BBC had an exclusive long interview with Mr Steve Bannon, the former chief strategist to US President Donald Trump, about all things trade, the Mueller investigation, French President Emmanuel Macron and other topics.

Mueller Investigation
Mr Bannon stated he didn’t think special counsel Robert Mueller should be fired before continuing to state that “Bob Mueller is an honorable guy, he’s a combat marine, he’s someone that has served his country.”

“I don’t agree with everything that’s been going on with the special counsel but I think he’s run it and I hope he does issue a report sometime.”

“In the Reagan, Clinton and Bush administration, you all had situations with this, even in Nixon, situations where you had a special counsel.”
Emmanuel Macron
The British interviewer admits, as everyone else has seen, that Mr Emmanuel Macron, President of France, has clearly overtaken the UK’s Theresa May in its ‘special’ relationship with the US President as being the preferred ally.

Mr Bannon: “You have to remember that Macron is a Rothschild banker so he knows how to focus on a client. I mean he’s done a very good job of building a relationship with President Trump. They had a great time in the United States and Macron goes to Congress and dumps all over the populist nationalist movement.”
UK Trade Deal
When asked about the upcoming trade deals for the UK with the US, the former chief strategist of the White House claims there is no doubt in his mind that the UK will come out on top, even though he does see less of a liking for Ms May by the White House than one would expect.

Mr Bannon: “As soon as you are eligible to negotiate it, which is not yet, you’ll get a trade deal very quickly, so I don’t think there’s any doubt that the United Kingdom will get a trade deal. You will get a trade deal that’s a fair deal between two partners.”
