A man in Florida who works at a Little Caesars pizza shop was able to defend himself with his concealed weapon against a robber in a clown mask Saturday night. 28-year-old Heriberto Feliciano was closing up the Holly Hill Little Caesars and had just walked out when a man in a clown mask attacked him.

The attack caught Heriberto by surprise and he was struck repeatedly with a wooden post. When the wood broke the attacker used a pair of scissors to attack with next but by now Heriberto had managed to draw his concealed firearm and fired into the suspect several times. Emergency responders pronounced the suspect dead at the scene. A medical examiner will perform an autopsy and release the attacker's identity.

Holly Hill Police Chief Stephen Aldrich said the shooting was justified. "It was an ambush type of an attack and it does appear that he was defending himself," he said. Aldrich added that he thinks the suspect knew when the business closed and a surveillance video from the restaurant shows the man in a clown mask walk around the back with a piece of wood. Feliciano can also be seen on the video closing up the Little Caesars and walking outside when he is immediately attacked.
Felciano received several injuries to his face and shoulder and he was driven to the hospital by family. Aldrich confirmed Feliciano is a licensed concealed firearm owner. "This is unusual for the city of Holly Hill and we take this very seriously," Aldrich said. "That's why we are aggressively following it up at this point."
