Australians have finally been able to see what a $150k interview gets you. It would seem not that much as only about a million people showed up to watch former Deputy Prime Minister Mr Barnaby Joyce and his former staffer Ms Vikki Campion tell their side of the affair that has engulfed Australian politics for months.

Mr Joyce took a swing at his own Prime Minister Mr Turnbull when he said that: “I never expected a gold star and I didn’t expect the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia to go and put a stop on it. That was wrong.”

However the former Deputy Prime Minister also admitted that: “The fault is mine, I did the wrong thing.”
The tell-all interview did not reveal anything startling, other than it was alleged that several members of the political party of Mr Joyce had asked Ms Campion to have an abortion.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">"Mr Joyce described those who told his partner to terminate the pregnancy if she wanted a career in Parliament House as 'absolute scum of the Earth people'."<br>No, you've got the lock on that title, dirt bag<a href="https://t.co/dPOgq4VAjX">https://t.co/dPOgq4VAjX</a></p>— Bruce Ross (@brucerossbrc) <a href="https://twitter.com/brucerossbrc/status/1003480228902010882?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">June 4, 2018</a></blockquote>

Ms Campion stated: “They came to me, they said, ‘uh, you’re pregnant and you have to get an abortion’, and I said, ‘it’s too late, it has a heartbeat’.”
“And they said, ‘if you don’t, they’re going to come after you’.”

Mr Joyce then stated: “I’ll be frank. I don’t believe in abortion. I knew at that point that I was going to lose my job as deputy prime minister.”
At the moment, Mr Joyce is still on “personal leave” and is not expected back in the Australian Parliament until it resumes in August.
