A man was urinating on a railroad platform in Chicago when a woman reprimanded and asked him to stop the gross, improper and rude act. Instead of getting embarrassed and apologizing and before the woman could even react, the man punched her, causing her to fall to the tracks and dangerously injure her head.
The 48-year-old woman requested not to be identified. She narrated that she was standing on the platform at around 4 p.m. Friday when she saw a man urinating in a public spot. She shared: “I just went up to him and I was like, ‘You can’t do that in the bathroom?’”
The woman said she brought out her phone to take a photo of the man. The man violently threatened to kill her. She thought it was pure trash talk, and she made an obscene gesture at him and walked away.
But before she could really get away, he quickly punched her, making her fall off the platform. Once down on the tracks, her first instinct was to roll over to see if there was an oncoming train.
The woman was brought to the hospital for treatment and where she also received staples in her head and a soft cast for her hand.
The police are currently looking for the suspect described as a black man in his 30s to 40s, about 5’9’’ to 5’ 11” tall and 170 to 190 pounds.
It is not clear if the area has surveillance cameras and if they managed to capture footage of the man for easier identification.
Anyone who happens to be there at the time of the incident, or those who witnessed the altercation, or anyone with useful information may contact the police to help in tracking down the suspect and make him face the law.
