Depp, whose dashing looks his female fans swoon over in the past, is almost unrecognizable in the said photos going viral. He looks messy, disheveled, and as if he were in pain in the photos. Even the once vibrant, magnetic smile of the celebrity has turned meek in the recent photos.

The vastly different, if not shocking, looks of Depp now has some fans speculating. Some believe he could be struggling with a serious illness that will also explain the frail, gaunt look. Others theorize that Depp could just be preparing for a new role, getting “into character” and sporting the same look he needed in whatever movie project he’s working on.
