The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Monday on The Ride On Bus as it was nearing the intersection of Frederick Avenue and Travis Avenue near the Lakeforest Mall. A white male passenger tried to defend the woman but he was struck int he face also.

After the assault, Jordan got off the bus and fled but officers responding to the assault call located her about a quarter mile from the intersection where the assault took place. Jordan told police that the victim struck her first but reviewing the surveillance video proved otherwise. She then changed her story to say she felt remorseful for attacking the two riders and added that she had not been taking her prescription like she was supposed to.
