South Carolina - Man With Gun Tattooed On His Face Jailed For Having An Illegal Firearm

A South Carolina man has landed himself in jail, and not for assaulting everyone's eyes with his hideous facial tattoo of a pistol. Ironically, the southerner was jailed for being a felon in possession of a firearm, and not the one on his face.

Greenville Police Department said Tuesday Michael Vines tossed a .38 caliber revolver into the grass after fleeing the scene of a car accident at the intersection of Green Avenue and Guess Street. City of Greenville firefighters witnessed Vines toss the firearm into the grass and reported it to GPD officers.

The .38 revolver was recovered from the scene where firefighters reported Vines had thrown it. Police apprehended Vines and charged him with driving under a suspended license, driving too fast for conditions and unlawful carrying of a firearm.

Apparently, even the Greenville Police Department found the arrest to be ironic because they reported, "The real weapon was placed in property and evidence." The car accident occurred near downtown Greenville, South Carolina but no injuries were reported.
