The President signed an executive order Wednesday, that we can't even read yet, but I can say that Tuesday's executive order signing felt like the President bowing to political pressure over issues that are very complex and oversimplified for the purpose of furthering a particular groups political agenda. Democrats latched onto photos of children in fences and called America's process for handling illegal immigrants all types of names yet refuse to even scratch the surface of the real issue and logistics of running a border.
It pisses me off to no end when I see short headlines that play on emotions rather than making any attempt to doing justice to the subject matter when it comes to immigration, particularly the issue of minors being separated from adults. That is where you must start, on the ground floor of this issue. You must see what the people are saying and reporting who are actually involved in this process and they are more frustrated than anyone for being portrayed as these evil government workers who just want to separate families.
In fact, the Democrats AND Republicans who have campaigned on this issue of family separation are actually doing more harm than good and I'll show you why. There is an elephant in the swimming pool that no one is willing to talk about, and that is human trafficking. Human trafficking rose 35.7 percent in 2016 from the previous year. Also, the Center for Immigration Studies reports that non-citizens account for a disproportionate amount of federal crimes compared to citizens, and the highest percentage of those crimes was kidnapping and the President has tweeted about this issue.

Our immigration laws are the weakest and worst anywhere in the world, and the Dems will do anything not to change them & to obstruct-want open borders which means crime!
— Donald J. So imagine this, a man is caught sneaking across the border illegally with two children in two, an infant and a toddler. Border Patrol intercepts these illegal migrants and they must be processed but none of them have identification or any record in any American system. Basically, there is no proof that these kids, who can't yet speak for themselves, are actually this man's children at all. In fact, if %42 percent of federal crimes committed by non-citizens were kidnapping convictions it is safe to assume that Border Patrol will encounter many cases of kidnapping.
The entire process of deciding border removal policy and procedures is run by lawyers. They go over every inch of policy and make sure it is done right and will not leave the government exposed to lawsuits that the taxpayers will ultimately be the ones paying out. So, there is no legal documentation to say that these two children belong to the man they were with and that is a liability. Children who were kidnapped, trafficked over the border can't just be returned to their kidnappers when they are processed at the border.
All those who are sharing the headline that "families are being separated and it must stop" are being intentionally ignorant to the true process and the real world details of border operations. They are willing to leave all of the victims of child sex abuse, human trafficking, sex slavery, and all of the other victims of abhorrent crimes out in the cold in the name of furthering their political agenda. Trump made an attempt to address the number of children entering the country under criminal or forced circumstances who are coerced into slavery or being drug mules.

We must always arrest people coming into our Country illegally. Of the 12,000 children, 10,000 are being sent by their parents on a very dangerous trip, and only 2000 are with their parents, many of whom have tried to enter our Country illegally on numerous occasions.
— Donald J. So when President Trump announced he signed an executive order to end family separate what does that mean? Does that mean that children who are trafficked over the border by human traffickers will not be separated from their captors and will be released back over the border with them no matter what evidence there is a crime has occurred? I don't think the executive order was anything more than a "counter headline" to the latest criticisms of the Trump administration. What the White House should do is take a camera crew to every stage of the illegal immigration process, interview the employees who come in contact with the most evil of evil human traffickers and the innocent families looking for a better life.
Show Americans and the world that this is not a black and white issue that can't be simplified in one headline or one executive order. And a blanket policy that prevents minors from being separated from adults could do more harm than good. This complex issue should be debated based on the facts. And the reality is that keeping people inside fences is both for their own safety as well as our government workers' safety. It is a far better alternative than prison bars which is where people who are citizens go when they commit a crime.
Time will tell when Trump's actual executive order is published online but for now, it feels like he bowed to the unreasonable political demands of the opposition to his administration and the ignorant allies who propagated the massive oversimplification of the immigration policy when it comes to separating minors from adults. Legislation needs to be in place to separate minors from adults when proper identification cannot be established so those adults can be prosecuted when they are suspected of engaging in kidnapping or human trafficking.
