Fake News Falsely Claims Jeff Sessions Joked About Separating Families (Video)

The fake news is propagating a headline that claims Attorney General Jeff Sessions joked about separating illegal immigrants from their children. In reality, which you can watch for yourself thanks to a video of the speech made at the Criminal Justice Legal Foundation, Sessions pointed out the fact that if a citizen breaks the law they are separated from their children.

If Sessions were actually making fun of or joking about separating children from their parents then it would be considered in poor taste and the audience would have reacted as such. Instead, the audience found irony in the facts that Sessions pointed out which was merely to say that those campaigning on open borders want open borders for everyone else but not themselves.

This is evident when you consider how even to appear at an event of any major liberal speaker or Democrat candidate you must present ID and there is security at the venue there to enforce the rules. If you don't have a ticket to the event or try to scale a fence to bypass the ticket process, you can be arrested for trespassing and what happens when a parent is arrested? They are separated from their children.

So what Sessions said in his speech was very much not a joke, but fact. There is nothing funny about the fact that liberals and Democrats are campaigning for open borders yet want to benefit from private security and borders at their events but when it comes to the average American who lives near the country's border, they should just be forced to accept the influx of drugs, human trafficking, and violent crime since they can't afford private security and gated communities.

The American people should come first, and illegal migrants should not get special rights that even citizens don't have. So while Sessions pointed out the hypocrisy in the immigration situation, he did not make a joke of it.
