Elon Musk is human like the rest of us and even some of the world's brightest and wealthiest slip up on Twitter; it's a human pitfall to become engaged in outrage and conflict. At least, that is what Musk is saying after calling one of the British rescue divers a "pedo" on Twitter. Assuming "pedo" is short for "pedophile," Musk may have gotten a little personal. You can't just throw around pedophile accusations without any evidence; it hurts your credibility.

Elon Musk realized that and has since apologized for saying, "Sorry pedo guy, you really did ask for it." But what was Musk implying? Could it have had something to do with the fact that the boys were sedated with ketamine and anxiety medication to be removed through the diving method? Does Musk think there was some groping going on down there and that the divers had some sick fantasy or was he trying to hurl an insult after his ego took a hit?
The British diver is named Vern Unsworth, and he recently condemned Musk's submarine as a publicity stunt and claimed Musk was promptly asked to leave after arriving at the rescue site. "It just had absolutely no chance of working," Unsworth said. "He had no conception of what the cave passage was like. The submarine, I believe, was about 5ft 6in long, rigid, so it wouldn’t have gone around corners or round any obstacles."

Some of Musk's followers pointed out that such accusations made in front of his 22 million followers could be construed as libelous. Musk seems to believe his sub would have worked, and to prove it he tweeted, "We will make [a video] of the mini-sub/pod going all the way to Cave 5 no problemo." Musk also told another critic who called his idea "absurd" a week earlier, "Stay tuned jackass." Both the pedo tweet and the jackass tweet were deleted.
