Pope Francis Doesn't Deny Allegations He Knew Of Child Abuse Cover-Up

The disgraced Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò revealed in an extraordinary statement Saturday that Pope Francis not only knew about the child abuse cover-ups but had a direct role in covering up the child abuse by Theodore McCarrick. Reporters confronted Pope Francis about the explosive accusations by the former top Vatican official Sunday.

The Pope dismissively said the 11-page document "speaks for itself" as he spoke to reporters aboard the plane returning to Rome from Dublin. He continued saying he would "not say one word" on the allegations in Viganò's statement which called for him to resign. The document by the Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò was a massive blow to the pope's credibility.

"I read that statement this morning. I read it and I will say sincerely that I must say this, to you (the reporter) and all of you who are interested: read the document carefully and judge it for yourselves," Pope Francis said. "I will not say one word on this. I think the statement speaks for itself and you have sufficient journalistic capacity to reach your own conclusions."

The accusations that Pope Francis had a hand in covering up McCarrick's crimes against children were issued to conservative Roman Catholic media outlets while the Pope was in Ireland doing damage control over the recent Grand Jury Report which found the rampant sexual abuse of minors and covers up going back at least 70 years.

Viganò's statement also accused a wide-ranging group of Roman Catholic church officials and U.S. Church officials of covering up the former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick's sexual abuse of a child. The 88-year-old McCarrick resigned last month and was stripped of his title but no criminal charges have been filed.

Where's the damn criminal charges? I'm sick and tired of watching all these disgusting corrupt people get away with their shit! The people are going to half to start punishing these criminals and with them the judges and DA"s that won't do their job just because the criminal is connected or rich! Death penalty for pedophiles!

If you're a pedophile, what better culture to join into than the pope's church? The only thing that can save the church is let the pastors marry.
