Iran-Iraq War Redux? – Iranian Embassy Burned, Rockets Fired In Basra (Video)

The heavy unrest in the southern Iraqi city of Basra rose to a peak when protesters set fire to the Iranian embassy and unknown assailants fired three Katyusha rockets at the airport Saturday morning. The events follow a week of protesting against both the government and the influence of Iran in the border region. Ten people died during the demonstrations.

Blaming the outsized influence of neighbour Iran in their political affairs for their misery, protesters yesterday burned the Iranian embassy in what seems to be the most serious trouble to shake Iraq's oil-rich southern Shiite heartland in years. Protesters, who are suffering under corrupt officials, soaring joblessness and poor public services have taken to the streets in protest.

Protesters were filmed shouting anti-Iranian slogans "Iran, out, out!" and storming the Iranian consulate. They took selfies after setting a fire inside, burned an Iranian flag and trampled over a portrait of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Without explicitly mentioning Iran, the US State Department criticized the attack, saying: "The United States condemns violence against diplomats, including that which occurred today in Basrah."

The protests started after hundreds were taken ill earlier this week after drinking contaminated water. Basra has seen a lack of basic services like electricity and drinking water in recent months.

Iraqi Prime Minister Ms Haider al-Abadi promised to speed up the release of additional funds intended to improve basic services in the oil-rich region.

Kikes and their CIA Golems inciting another Iraq-Iran War and the dumbass Iranians thinking after Saddam was murdered, that it was a good idea to start advancing in Iraq for their own interests, oh the fucking hubris.

the only problem with an Iran/Iraq war is that they both can't lose

Arabs have not the balls to address the real problem and unite against Israel. The mud 'mind' seems to never get beyond buggering little boys and setting their daughters on fire for cuckolding dear old dad. I'll respect Islam when the first camel enters Tel Aviv
