For issuing a statement that suggests assassinating President Donald Trump, veteran TV star Carole Cook might be the subject of an official inquiry to be administered by the Secret Service no less.
A source told entertainment site TMZ that the Secret Service wants to have some discussions with the star regarding such a statement she issued against the President.
The issue was triggered by the TMZ photographer asking Cook what she thought about Trump and she replied a loaded statement, “Where’s John Wilkes Booth when you need him?”

John Wilkes Booth is infamous in American history as the American actor who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. on April 14, 1865.
The photographer tried to clarify if she wants Trump assassinated, she answered, “Why not?”
Cook is a popular Broadway actress who appeared on “Dynasty”, “Cagney & Lacey” and “Sixteen Candles.”
The source told TMZ that the Secret Service is “concerned” with such a comment made by Cooke. While they want to talk to the elderly 94-year-old actress, the source was quick to clarify that the agency is not exactly conducting an official investigation yet, just an initial inquiry.
The agency would only decide how to move forward after interviewing Cook.
It is, of course, a criminal act to threaten a sitting President.
The Secret Service released an official statement about the matter and said: “The Secret Service is aware of the comment. While we do not confirm or comment on the absence or existence of specific investigations, we can say we investigate all threats against the President.”
Cook received a lot of backlash for her reckless comment.
