In September 2017, <a href="https://www.fundthewall.com/"> The American Border Foundation </a> team began creating a crowdfunding platform that Americans can use to fund the wall using donated money.
The Foundation was recently <a href="https://www.fundthewall.com/irs-approves-plan-to-crowdfund-border-wall/"> awarded </a> nonprofit status by the IRS but they still need DHS to agree to receive the funds and use them to construct the wall.
DHS has a published process to <a href="https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/mgmt_directive_112_02_gifts_to_the_department_of_homeland_security.pdf"> receive gifts </a> and the procedure covers all questions the foundation had regarding whether they could stipulate the use of the funds. Since September 2017, the foundation has gone back and forth with the DHS <a href="https://www.fundthewall.com/getting-to-yes-with-dhs/"> requesting approval </a> the Office of General Counsel for us to deliver the funds.
The latest response by DHS was that it “doesn’t have the resources to process donations”.

“The point of a crowdfunding site is that we save them the resources of processing the individual small donations and they would only have to manage our check to them on a weekly or monthly basis”, said Quentin Kramer, Founder of The Foundation.
Kramer went on to write:
“We need your help. Many thousands of you have publicly said you’d be willing to donate and that means there are millions more who will participate. All we need to do is break this logjam and we can begin the flow of funds to DHS to use to build more sections faster”.
“We’ve just gotten started on a multimedia campaign to get this red tape cut and we’d love your help in continuing it. Here’s what we’ve done so far:”
1. We created a petition on whitehouse.gov. but the petition has been archived because it did not meet the signature requirements.
2. We <a href="https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/"> emailed </a> President Trump through the White House contact page and the message that you send can be very simple:
“President Trump, we’ve worked through DHS’ process to give donations but now they tell us they don’t have the resources to process them. Will you please allocate the resources to DHS to process our donations? Thank you!”
3. We write to DHS again through <a href="https://s3.amazonaws.com/fundthewall.com-images/prod/images/2018/08/19211234/dhs-letter-outbound-aug-19-18.jpg"> snail mail </a>, their preferred contact method, to better explain in case they have misunderstood us.
4. Sent snail mail to President Trump on the same topic, with functionally the same content.
5. Worked tirelessly to spread the word about these first three items on social media on the Internet and especially in real life. In particular, we’ve been directly targeting groups of conservatives and American patriots who agree with us and will help spread the word.
6. Sent hundreds of messages to media and key conservative influencers to gain their support and visibility.
“Any one of these methods could be the one to get the attention of Secretary Nielsen or President Trump and get the right resources in the right place for DHS to be able to receive the money. For this one step, we have to ask America to help us make a connection we don’t have. Once we have their attention, we can answer their questions and show them what we’ve done. We will get to yes, and we will fund the wall, America”, said Kramer.

Help spread the word. Let’s get DHS to agree to accept the gift and we can call on all conservatives to donate. We need the wall. Too many Americans are being killed by illegal aliens. There are legal processes to enter this country and they need to be adhered to.
