You may have never heard of him, but Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred is the biggest star in the Arab world when it comes to Youtube views. His hit Lmallem has a massive 660 million views to its name.
There is however also a darker side to the man. He has been accused of multiple rape charges in multiple countries (in the US back in 2010, only to get out on bail and never return to the country).

This time the charges in France for events taking place in Saint-Tropez are not even the first in this country. Furthermore, the prosecutor is worried that Mr. Lamjarred will flee the country and return to Morocco after he posted bail for a whopping €175,000.
Although the judge responded that Mr. Lamjarred's bail terms prohibited him from traveling abroad, the prosecutor insisted on arresting him again, knowing full well that back in Morocco the king personally intervened with similar judicial proceedings when he was accused of similar acts in Casablanca.
The prosecutor’s office said that the latest case was "complex" and involved two "radically opposed versions of events".
The 21-year-old girl who accused Mr. Lamjarred has uploaded a video on Youtube explaining how she gets constant death threats from his fans.
In the video (in French), she says: "My name is Laura Prioul, I'm 21 years old, and it has been one year since I was physically attacked, hit and raped. For the past year, I've been hiding from the media, hiding from everyone, that everyone's been talking about me."
She recounted details of the alleged assault and described the death threats she received after her identity as the person who accused the singer was revealed online.
