The German federal prosecutor's office informed the press today that they’ve arrested six rightwing extremists on Monday who were planning terrorist attacks against immigrants. They are strongly suspected of having founded a right-wing terrorist group.
The name of their subversive organization was "Revolution Chemnitz".
According to the Attorney General’s office, the six men planned violent and armed attacks against foreigners and politically dissidents. More than 100 officials from the Saxon police were involved in the arrest operation.

The findings to date claim that all six men accused belonged to the hooligan, skinhead and neo-Nazi scene in the Chemnitz area.

The radical troop is said to have already tried to get semi-automatic firearms.
Chemnitz has been the scene of several rightwing (and leftwing) protests over the past few weeks ever since 2 Syrian refugees stabbed a 35-year-old German during a city festival last month.

The Sunday after the events, there were alleged ‘migrant hunts’ organized by several rightwing groups. The situation caused several days of tension and large scale protests.
During those alleged ‘migrant hunt’s five of the accused men had armed themselves with glass bottles and, together with other violent supporters of other right-wing groups in Chemnitz, attacked and injured several foreigners. One of the victims was injured when a glass bottle was thrown at the back of his head.
Germany goes to the polls in its southern Bavaria state in two weeks, with the rightwing anti-immigrant AfD gaining in the polls.
The CSU sister party of Chancellor Ms Angela Merkel has been urging her to get more strict in her actions against illegal immigration, fearing that the AfD is eating away their voting base on the right. However, as Ms Merkel has to govern together with the socialist SPD, she has so far not taken any action on this point.
