Prime Minister Scott Morrison, who has taken more rightwing conservative decisions in his few months in office than his predecessor Turnbull already, took another step to please evangelical supporters today when announcing Australia considered moving their Israeli embassy to Jerusalem.
Mr. Morrison said that Australia remains “committed to a two-state solution, but frankly, it hasn’t been going that well. Not a lot of progress has been made.”
“And you don’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results. And so when sensible suggestions are put forward, that is consistent with your policy positioning, and in this case pursuing a two-state solution, Australia should be open-minded to this.”

The prime minister added that a future scenario could involve Australia recognizing a Palestinian Authority capital in East Jerusalem and Israeli capital in West Jerusalem.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted his approval on Monday, saying: “I spoke today with Australian PM Mr. Scott Morrison. He informed me that he is considering officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moving the Australian embassy to Jerusalem. I’m very thankful to him for this. We will continue to strengthen ties between Australia and Israel.”

The move is significant as Australia is considered a major developed nation with years of experience in international relations development and now becomes, after the US, another respected country to change policy in the Palestine-Israeli conflict.
Mr. Morrison’s predecessor PM, also a member of the liberal party, Mr. Malcolm Turnbull, had ruled out following the US in moving Australia's embassy to Jerusalem earlier this year.

I would think that Australia leadership be questionable in all international fronts, since they voted down "it's ok to be white". The rest of the "White world should act accordingly"
