MO - Artist Andy Thomas Honored Trump Hung “The Republican Club” In White House

Leftwing websites like ‘The Daily Beast’ or ‘BBC News’ were quick to label it ‘tacky’, but being somewhat of an amateur painter myself, I can only imagine how proud Mr. Andy Thomas, the artist of the above painting must have been when he noticed his artwork hanging in the White House. In my humble opinion, really well done.

Onlookers spotted the art piece during US President Donald Trump’s tour of the White House with 60 minutes presenter Ms. Lesley Stahl.

Just as millions tuned in to behold President Trump's wide-ranging interview with CBS News on Sunday, a brief glimpse of the artwork called “The Republican Club” on a White House wall caught the eye of many.

Journal Review editor Mr. Josh Billinson was among those on Twitter to note the painting's presence and the image has been shared by many since.

Republican congressman Mr. Darrell Issa reportedly offered it to the US President on a trip to the White House.

Called The Republican Club, the artwork was created by Andy Thomas. The artist, who lives in Missouri, was "ecstatic" to discover his art displayed in the White House.

"A lot of times gifts aren't really hung up, they're just pushed into a closet somewhere," Mr. Thomas said, "to find out it's actually hanging is really a treat."

“He had actually given me a real gracious call to tell me how much he liked it,” Mr. Thomas said of President Trump.

“He was very complimentary. He made a comment that he’d seen a lot of paintings of himself and he rarely liked them.”

The painting (which also had a democratic counterpart) features some of the most celebrated presidents in Republican history. You will recognize Abraham Lincoln, Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt, George HW Bush and his father George W Bush, Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan and finally Donald Trump.

Did any one else take note that although BOTH ‘The Democratic Club’ and ‘The Republican Club’ are both by artist Andy Thomas.

Liberals are only finding ‘The Republican Club’ offensive?

BTW: Official Reprints are available. While performing a google search several purchase sources popped up.

Lincoln has a glass of water. I didn't think they drank that back then, not very safe to do so.
