The conservative commentator Candace Owens has officially revealed a campaign to separate from the Democrat Party. Owens Tweeted, "The official Black Exit from the Democrat Party. NO MORE ENSLAVED MINDS. AMERICA FIRST." Along with the post was a video of black Americans chanting "We are free."

The tweet links to a website for the movement that says, "WE FREE
BLEXIT is a frequency for those who have released themselves from the political orthodoxy. It is a rebellion led by Americans wishing to disrupt the simulation of fear. BLEXIT is a renaissance. It is our formal declaration of independence."

The website also contains a section titled "Inconvenient Truths" which has such quotes as one from President Lyndon B Johnson (D) saying, "I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years" and a statistic that says, "Lynching: A Fate for Both Blacks and Whites. 3,446 black Republicans and 1,297 white Republicans were lynched by the KKK between 1882 and 1968."
Blexit.com also has testimonial videos from members of the black community announcing their walk away from the Democrat party. The tweet received over 50,000 favorites, and there was plenty of support for the announcement. One user wrote, "As a supporter of the winning antiestablishment Brexit here in the UK, #BLEXIT is an amazing idea! It shares the same sentiment of taking back control."

There is a growing push away from the Democrat party in the black community, and Turning Point USA's latest Young Black Leadership Summit is proof of that. It took place October 25-28 in Washington, D.C. and featured such guest speakers as Larry Elder, Candace Owens, and Charlie Kirk.
Turning Point advertised the summit saying it "is a conference for young, conservative blacks between the ages of 15 and 35." The event offered a travel stipend which quickly reached capacity but shows there is a growing red wave among black Americans who feel used by the Democrat party. Owen's Blexit website said thousands march for 17 students killed in Parkland, Florida but no one marches for the 500 dead in Chicago.

Another Twitter user wrote, "It’s been a HUGE week for you Candice! Congratulations on pulling the curtain back and opening minds. You are a force for all that is good- May God be with you!" And another said, "Thanks for your passion and energy… I've longed for a recognition from the black community of the manipulation and deception that's been foisted on them for years… so happy to see an awakening!"
A Twitter user named Gary Wilt wrote, "Bless you and those working with you Candace. Nearly all my black friends at church and business left the Democrats years ago. They saw the economic bondage politicians held them under. They got an education and pursued economic freedom. Media ignores them."
