It is one of the most unfortunate and heartbreaking tragedies that can befall a family. Three young siblings were just boarding a bus when they were horrifically struck and killed by a vehicle at a school bus stop in Indiana. Twin boys aged only 6 and their 9-year-old sister were killed from the accident. Another student, not related to the siblings, was seriously injured, too.
The Indiana State Police said that the young school children were hit while simply boarding a bus near 4600 N State Road 25 in Rochester in Fulton County. Rochester is located around 45 miles south of South Bend.
There are not many available details about the tragic incident yet. But the police shared that a 24-year-old female driver was behind the vehicle that hit the poor children, and killed the 6-year-old twin boys and their 9-year-old sister.

The 11-year-old student who sustained serious injuries from the accident has been airlifted to a hospital in Fort Wayne Ind.
The authorities would only say that the driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating in the investigation.

The school of the young fatalities said that they are awaiting more confirmed details about the incident. It is appealing for members of the school community to come together and pray for the families, students, and their staff.
They also shared that so far the school has assigned all school counselors to meet the emotional needs of their staff, students and parents. It is not clear if the parents of the siblings have been informed of the tragedy, and how they are coping at present.

So sad! I feel for the families. I hope that's not the children's blood next to the truck tires? If so that has to be almost impossible for the family to stomach after this tragedy. Such a terrible loss for that unfortunate family. I cannot even attempt to know the sorrow they are going thru. What a terrible loss!
Yep. When you got those shiny flashy lights and that nice red exztendable stop sign commanding every driver in a ten mile radius to halt you don't need to design safe bus stops.
The driver stopped and cooperated - obviously a YT person.
